My research focuses on the social implications of life in the communities built inside Roman military bases. My PhD thesis, entitled ‘Beyond military architecture: small finds and space use in the Roman forts of Dacia’, draws on small finds as its core focus and their ability to indicate presence and movement of individuals, activities, and generally use and adaptation of space.
