I use quantitative and data-focused methodologies to study marginalization and intersectional identities in the Roman provinces. In my project on the northwestern provinces, I use votive offerings to study the intersection of gender, religion, and colonialism. I’m also field director for the Arizona Sicily Project’s excavations at Segesta, Sicily, where our focus is on the expression of shifting cultural identities in domestic spaces.
