I’m a Newcastle student doing a PhD researching strategic theory and practice, Iron Age diaspora networks between Ireland and Central Britain, and their influence in the evolution of the Roman Frontier in Britain. As a former field archaeologist returning to the academic discipline after a military career, I’m passionate about strategy as an ‘everyday, everyperson’ phenomenon which has the potential to help us restore agency to indigenous cultures in this process and gain a better understanding of the frontiers as a result.
